Atom: A small piece of matter that cannot be commonly broken down.

Element: Simple pure substance that cannot be changed into a simpler substance.

Pure Substance: Matter made up of one kind of material with definate properties.

Electron Cloud: the region where electrons would probably be found swirling around the nucleus.

I learned that a buoyant force is the upward force on an object placed in fluid. If the object is less dense than the liquid or is shaped appropriatly, the force can keep the object afloat.

Charles law- Gases expanded when hot air. When heated the given weight of hot air occupies a larger volume. Hot air is less dense than cold air. The net wet of an weight of the baloon pulus hot air is less than the weight of an equivelent volume of cold air and the baloon will rise.

This is our results of heat being added to water. When the heat was added the temperature rises.

graph_temp2.JPG

This is our graph on temperature until boiling point. This one was our 25mL graph.

graph_temp.JPG

This is our 50mL graph. As you can see Brian cut it off a little.

Here is our link to the ice and salt page were finding our information on. http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/saltice.html

Ice and Salt Lab- Water that melted off of the ice was so cold it melted and froze the thermometer into the tube.
The salt gets in the way of the ice freezing.
